Rules of a classic freezout style Texas Hold'em hold'em tournament apply with some amendments made by the production company in order to make it more entertaining for example. Legal details will be in a contract you will have to sign with Telesport before participating to any competition. here after a general overview of the script of the competition. Who can participate?Anybody aged over 18 from any nationality and who has signed the production contract. If the winner of Grand Final will be from any foreign nationality he will be rewarded, but he can not be named the "TURKHOLD'EMSTAR" In this case a Turkish player who finishes the Grand Fınal at the highest place will be TURKHOLD'EMSTAR COMPETITION RULES CONTRACT AGREEMENT

• Where will the production/competition take place? In the offices and studios of Telesport in Maslak (Istanbul) call (0212) 2761034 for more information. See map
• Free of charge (joker rounds):50 Hold’Em players maximum per week can try (ONE TIME PER CALENDER YEAR ONLY) to earn their FILE FEE back via a JOKER table victory. These JOKER rounds can also be considered as training/talent detection sessions in fact and participants will play on tables of minimum 8 (6 tables per week maxi) where all participants have the ambition to either earn their “file fee” back or have a real ‘live table’ training session before the official Q rounds are starting! JOKER table winners will be refunded and attends the production completely for free! All the table “losers” will participate in the Q rounds, unless they have not secured the payment of their 'FILE FEE' to the production in which case they will be disqualified. Remember; the fee you have to pay is to cover production costs, to build your image and serve you drinks and food during all the time you will be playing in the production!
• With a FILE fee:Anybody can enter each of the 10 weekly 'Q round' by paying a FILE FEE of 250 YTL including a "food and beverages package". Participants have to give their full image rights and play like an actor/figurant in the production. If somebody doesn’t want to be seen on the images he can not participate in this production! Each actor/figurant will have to sign a detailed contract and will have a one time chance in each calendar year to earn his participation fee back. He does this by winning a competition called “Joker Tour” (see above). If a participant brings somebody else to the production he/she can earn a 10% casting agent commission against a receipt (go to casting agent program info by clicking here)
• JOKER rounds: Wednesday & Thursday the JOKER rounds are played from 6PM and during the week end the JOKER rounds will be played between 10AM and 3PM and the qualified will continue to the Q rounds taking place between on Friday and Saturday.
• Q rounds: Take place Friday's after 8PM; Top 50% (maximum 60 players) will automatically qualify for ½ final and remaining 50% can try again (last chance) on Saturday after 11AM during more Q rounds. Freezout style hold'em until a total of 120 players maximum are left. These 120  players are qualified for the semi finals played on Saturday nights. If on Saturday morning (noon) less than 120 players have registered, all players are automatically qualified for the ½ final in the evening!
• Last chance rounds: See above. In fact including the Joker rounds each participant could have up to 3 chances to win.
• Saturday weekly Semi final: On Saturday evening the top 120 players of the  Q rounds will play until maximum 60 players are left. These 60 players will play the weekly finals on Sunday
• Weekly finals on Sunday:On Sunday evening the qualified players will play in a freezout style hold'em until there is a weekly winner who will win an entry into a WPT or EPT (budget between 5.000 and15.000$) event within the Turkholdemstar team and qualify for the TurkHoldemStar Grand Final to be played after 10 Q rounds. According to the weekly classification the first 10% of the total amount of players will qualify automatically for 1 further competition/production week for free (if available), all the others, if they want, will have to pay the costs of their participation (177YTL + KDV food & beverages menu for example) per week if they want to continue in the production as figurants/actors.

A weekly winner can participate again and again in the following weekly Q rounds and if he wins a weekly final again he will be granted 10% extra chips for the FINAL. In such case the 2nd in the concerned weekly final will qualify for the FINAL but with 10% less chips.

• GRAND FINAL: After the 10 Q rounds weeks the FINAL will take place with the 10 weekly winners. All 10 weekly winners will receive their budgets for the participation in the by them chosen WPT or EPT events. The idea is to send the 10 players to the same WPT or EPT event as a TURKHOLDEMSTAR team. All 10 finalists will now get a chance to win even more during the FINAL… THE TITLE of “Turk Hold’Em Star” and maybe many more prizes, all depending on number of incoming sponsors… If the FINAL is transmitted live on a TV channel there will be for example SMS games for the audience etc.
• CELEBRITY CHARITY EVENT: After the final we will try to organize a hold'em Masters against celebrities event. The best 5 of the final will play against 5 selected well known Turkish celebrities. Each of them will play for a charity of his choice. Money will be raised via sms and sponsors.

• Weekly organisation schedule:
  • 7 days/week: tel. reception between 9AM and 9PM for information and registartions registrations. No productions shootings on Mondays and Tuesdays!
  • Wednesday & Thursday: Joker rounds starting at 6PM.
  • Friday: Q rounds starting at 6PM. If a lot of players, we’ll continue as we have 5 tables ready we could manage 2 x 5 tables of 10 = 100 players in 1 day!
  • Saturday: Q rounds starting at 11AM. Freezout ½ final starts at 3PM or 6PM (depending on number of participants) with all the players and the top 20% will qualify for Sunday final (minimum 30 players maximum 60 players) keeping their earned chips!
  • Sunday: Weekly FINAL starting after 3PM.
• Chip counts*:
  • Joker rounds and last chance rounds will start their play with 1.500 in chips
  • Q rounds will start their play with 3.000 in chips, 1.500 in case of a last chance qualification.
  • Semi finalists will start their play with 5.000 in chips
  • Sunday the weekly finalists (maximum 60 players) will start their play with the chips they earned during the ½ final freezout and in any case with at least 5.000 in chips. This means that the ones who were in minus during Saturday freezout will get the lost chips back and those who were leading will have more chips to start the final freezout!
  • The 10 GRAND FINALISTS of the 1st TURKHOLDEMSTAR will start their play with 20.000 in chips.
